What to be asked from Myshaikh

Some people have this confusion in mind that every thing is written in the books so what for they have to contact Mashaikh.Hakeem-ul-ummat Hazrat Thanwi answers to such a person in one of his letters.

"Objectives are clear and these are practices one has to perform. Even then there may be confusion in understanding the text because of which one can fail in achieving the objectives. Shiekh can perform the role of a teacher. Some time one considers oneself cured but he is not cured. Sometime one may consider oneself uncured and is disturbed but he is cured. Shiekh will tell him the actual position and if he needs some treatment he may then be treated accordingly.

Some time a person may know and he may not have the experience to do the needful in that condition, then Shiekh may use his experience for that purpose. Some time a person may have experienced even but one is not satisfies with one own 's treatment. If he has a Shiekh he may consult him and be satisfied with his opinion.

After all this is but practical to consult a wiser and more experienced and sincere person for the problem who may be Shiekh. One should consult his Shiekh for any spiritual problem he is suffering from and should abide by his instructions with the understanding that his Shiekh is the most useful person in this regard, for which he should keep himself close with his Shiekh for ever. This way one can have spiritual progress day by day and success is then not far from him.
