Need of Shaikh:
It is usual practice that one can not learn without guidance. Tareeqat is even finer so how one can learn without a guide. If one is patient then he has to go to doctor. If one consults more doctors for his treatment no doctor can get reasonable information about him that he can be treated reasonably. In Tariqat sicknesses are even more complicated and usually the person does not feel himself a patient. For this, one has to tell him what sicknesses he has and then he can prepare himself for treatment. If one does not have a Shaikh no one other can tell him this and he may go to death uncured. The death in other sicknesses may be the end of that sickness but in the case of Tareeqat this is not the end, so he may be punished for being uncured.
