HOW TO EXPLORE A SHIEKH
If choosing a Shiekh is so important then one should know how to choose him Otherwise he may go to selfish people who may spoil his life in this world and all the life hereafter. Some Characteristics of the true Shiekh are therefore given below.
1. He must have reasonable knowledge that he himself can practice Islam and can guide a person to the right path in a safe way.
2. He must have spent reasonable time with Mashaikh for Islah
3. Mashaikh whom he has accompanied should have declared confidence in him which is known as Khilafat or Ijazat and the series of Mashaikh he has followed should end on the Prophet peace be upon Him.
4. Mostly the persons who follow him show improvement continuously
5. He knows and practices both the leniency and strictness as required for a person and does not spare any one in this regard.
6. Munasibat (Mind matching) is also important so one should choose that Sheikh with whom he feels Munasibat.
7. In his company one should feel better regarding his working for the life here after and should feel remembering Allah
If these signs are available in a person then one should associate himself with him as early as possible and should not wait for miracles
